I have a lot of readers wanting to know how I got my website to look the way it is, so I decided to share it with you.
Platform:
I use WordPress.org platform. I used to have Blogger but did not like it and found WordPress to be without comparison more beneficial for my business. I explain why here: http://www.ultimatemarketingonline.com/blog/ultimate-marketing-online/blogging/blogging-for-dummies/
Hosting:
Once you choose your platform you have to have a place to host it – “park it” if you will. (don’t confuse it with parked domains though, that is something totally different). Hosting companies are dime a dozen. There are good one and bad ones just like in any business category. So I did a research and here was my experience and what I ended up using:
Theme:
Now that you have a platform, you have a place to put it, and you created it, now you need to dress it up a bit. WordPress comes with many, many, many free great looking and great functioning themes. In the end it all depends on what you’re trying to accomplish. Here is what I use: http://www.ultimatemarketingonline.com/blog/reviews/battle-of-the-best-wp-squeeze-page-themes/
Plugins:
Feedburner feedSmith – page down, look for it in your WP under add new plugins
Found me on
Flash video player
I believe that should do it.
Have fun!
