This morning I saw the email I received from Twitter last night and it made my blood freeze instantaneously.

“Due to concern that your account may have been compromised in a phishing attack that took place off-Twitter, your password was reset. Please create a new password by opening this link in your browser….”

It was followed by bunch of “check this” and “make sure this” and even though it was pretty cool from Twitter that they sent this email with helpful instructions, the whole idea of waking up one morning and my Twitter account along with my Twitter friends and my tweets being gone, makes me nervous enough to do something about it.

What was also interesting was that few days ago I ran across the article about making a Twitter backup. Never really ran across anything like that before, so made a note of it but never went back to it. This morning, I was digging through my paperwork looking for the link..lol..

Anyhow, I’ve been reading up on it, and here are few things you should definitely know about preserving your precious Twitter real estate”
