One of the biggest powers of social media marketing is transparency. People want to know who they will be doing business with before they actually do it.
Today’s technology on social media platforms allows us to really get to know the people behind the websites, behind the products, and really see them for who they really are.
For example, if I’m going to use a new mechanic for my car, I’d like to know if I’m making a good decision before I write a $500-600 check. If my mechanic is a guy who understands marketing and is on Facebook or Twitter where I hang out, I might start following what he’ll say. I might even ask him some questions. I am surely going to see what others say about him on there as well and how he treats other prospects and customers. Even to go a step further, I will probably compare him to other mechanics claiming to be just as good.
And I can see it all there.
Whether you like it or not, that is what your prospects are doing to you as well.
So next time you’re sitting and starring at your Facebook, Twitter, YouTube or any other social media platform wondering what to say, or should you even be there in the first place, know that your competition is and they are getting connected with your prospects. Even more then that, they are in the process of building a relationship.
Use the social media platforms to show the world who you really are, how you do the business, how you treat people around you: those that pay you and those that don’t.
Do that through conversations you have with your friends/ followers and through content you share with them.
Social media platforms are giving us today what we’ve been getting through word of mouth on the street for ages – times gazillion. Use that opportunity wisely.
How have social media platforms like Facebook , Twitter, and such helped your business the most?

Thanks I found just the info I already searched everywhere and just couldn’t find. What a perfect site.
Very interesting article. Keep us posting dude !
Aleks, very pertinent article on transparency with social media. And I really like what you’ve done with your blog. Nice job!
I agree with Aleks totally! If you are looking to build a lucrative long lasting business, you want to do this with Integrity. Don’t try to be something you are not, transparency is very important. Most any type of business is built on repeat business. If you do something to tarnish your integrity, you will work 10 times harder to correct your mistake. Do it right the first time , avoid mistakes I’ve made myself. remember, Experience is the best teacher , especially someone elses.
Hi Synolve, there are several you can use, but I suggest article submitter or Traffic Geyser an article and video submitter in one – they produce great results. My share button is a WP plugin, “SexyBookmarks”. Thanks for being my reader!
