One of the greatest disservices to their internet existence and profits new reps notoriously make is using replicated websites.

What is a replicated website?

Replicated website is a copy of the company’s main webpage. The only way it differs from the reps is that in the address bar it contains a number after the domain name. That is how the company tracks who brought a new signup: i.e…http://www.greatcompany.com/266372

At first sight, the idea looks pretty neat.

You can always mask their domain name with your own, so the affiliate number is not showing – because when it does it makes it look very unprofessional and lot of peeps will simply take the affiliate number out and just go straight to the main site, in which case you lose the lead and the commission.

But that is not only half the battle.

The new rep is attracted by the idea that he/she does not have to spend millions of hours and dollars on design, copywriting, split-testing…etc. he/she can be on the website, live, within minutes of singing up and start their marketing.

Well…yes and no.

Yes, all that is true. BUT, in order to be a success on the internet, and stand out amongst millions of other marketers, out of which thousands and hundreds of thousands are doing exact same thing – using the exact same website – YOU have to stand out.

So if a prospect clicks on your link and find himself on a page that is exact same as 5 previous ones, your chances of keeping that prospect and converting him/her as a lead are slim to none. Honestly.

The gazillions of data collected through numerous software applications show that the prospects only tend to stay 1-3 seconds on any given site – IF they do not see anything that catches their attention.

  • What is on your site that catches your prospects attention?
  • What is on your site that will compel the prospects to sign up on THAT page rather then on any other that’s identical to yours?
  • What is on that site that gives your prospect feeling that they are benefiting from signing up on your page?
  • What is on your page that convinces your prospect that YOU behind that site can get him from point A to point B and are the answer to all his wishes and troubles?

It might be simpler than you think.
