If you have a relationship with your readers and they trust you and you have actually used the products you’re advertising or just mentioning, you’re more likely to make a sale or at least get someone interested in your ideas and what you have to offer.

I completely agree with the concept of only offering products that you have personally used…or have a relationship with the producer of the product. A personal and authentic recommendation will go much further than throwing up a link and saying “buy my stuff”.
