What To Do After You Blow Your Marketing Budget?

Here is the scenario that hunts 97% of internet marketers.

One morning you wake up, and the advertising money is gone.

The money you set aside to “invest” in your business has literally vanished. You spent it. Whether you got few, some, or none…not enough leads have come yet to pay you back for your investment. The credit cards are maxed out. The bills need to get paid. Your family and your friends are just waiting to tell you: “I told you so!”

Time’s up…What do you do?

Do you throw the towel in?
Do you spend more money – which you don’t have – doing more of the same thing?
Do you hire someone to help you/take a course to help you – again with money which you don’t have?
Do you spend more money – which you don’t have – doing something different? And if so WHAT is that different?

If you don’t keep moving, you will start regressing. Internet marketing is like a spicket. You have to pump hard at first and when the water starts running you can do the more with less work. The water will keep running and you just have to keep lightly pushing the lever. However, if you stop the pressure will fall and the water will go back to its original level. So if you’re going to want some water again, you will have to pump hard AGAIN, several times with no results before the water starts running with the continuous flow. Same here. If you stop working on your internet business you will fall back so much so fast, that you will have to work lot harder to get ahead next time around.

3…2…1…there is no time to think. Seriously, what is the right thing to do?

I’ll be honest with you.

It’s different for everybody. If your family has no food to eat, if your electricity has been cut off and your car is about to be repoed, I would suggest you take care of your family first and just pay the price of coming back at the later time.

However, if your situation is not THAT drastic, I would suggest you dust yourself off, do a big garage sale, get a part time job…do whatever it takes to keep yourself “moving” in the online arena.

Just driving through my neighborhood, I see everyday people’s cars parked in the driveway with their garages up full of junk. They can’t even park their cars they’re paying lot of money for . (and mind you I live in an Estates Section – go figure…)

If you are one of those people, get some of that stuff out, cash it in, cut your cable bill down…something, anything….just get moving and keep going – of course…the question then is what exactly are you going to do?

Well, I was at that point almost 2 years ago now. Not everybody is like me, but I have passion for working from home, sometimes in my PJs, sometimes in my swimsuit by the pool, sometimes I don’t’ work at all and I spend time with my family – that was strong enough for me to keep me going.

And trust me when you’re that committed to it, somehow the new budget money always finds you.

There is nothing – when it comes to money at least – more cool then when you’re out and about, or watching a movie, or hanging by the pool, or you sit at the computer to check your emails and you see emails
